Welcome to the LiveOnline@UT System Check Tutorial
Centra has a quick and easy way of making sure that your computer is ready
to attend a Centra session. Simply open your web browser and go to the
URL address “liveonline.utk.edu” and click “System Check.”

The “System Check” will take you through a couple of steps, making
sure that your Internet browser is ready and that your network connection is
sufficient. It will also step you through the Audio Wizard. After verifying
that your computer system meets the minimum requirements, click Start.

You can see that the System Check has made sure the browser met all the requirements.
Once you’ve passed, click Continue.

From here, we’ll need to make sure that the network connection is adequate
for a Centra session.
Click Continue…

…to let the System Check go through a series of steps to make sure that
our Network connection is appropriate to attend a Centra session.

Once the tests conclude, you can see that we’ve passed. Click Continue
again.

We’re now going to be taken through the Audio Wizard. This gives us an
opportunity to fine-tune our Audio.
First select your hardware audio type.
You can leave the default selection, Speakers and microphone, or select
your specific hardware configuration. For example, if you use a headset
with microphone, you can choose that selection.

If in doubt, the default selection of Speakers and microphone will work with
most setups. Now click Next;

Listen to the recorded message. Once you’ve adjusted your volume appropriately,
click Next

You’ll now listen to your microphone level. Your microphone volume level
should be mostly green bars with some yellow but no red. When you’re
satisfied with the level, click Finish.

You can see that all systems have passed. We are now ready to attend a Centra
event; and can click Exit.
